The Last Nursery Posting (for a while!)

Thanks for hanging in there with me as I expunge myself
of this nursery obsession.  We know so many couples who
are expecting or, to quote my grandmother, "have done
a little math" (added to their family!)   I hope they've
gotten some inspiration this week.

Today's posting is a combination of Nursery No-Nos, beautiful bedrooms and a peek at some nurseries of
The Rich and Famous:

Dancing With The Stars co-hostess Brooke Burke
chose a soft pastel scheme for her daughter.

Cake Boss Buddy Valastro and his wife, Lisa,
agreed on a safari theme for his youngest son.

Many photos of the nursery for Christina Aguilera's son, Max, have been published, but you might not know that the huge Man in the Moon sculpture was actually a stage prop from one of her concerts:

Dr. Phil and his wife created a palatial nursery for their granddaughter:

How precious is Samantha Harris' daughter's girly nursery?!

Jennifer Lopez' twins live like the hip-hop royalty they are:

Kelly Ripa went with a subdued yet classic fairy tale theme for her daughter's nursery:

What a fantasy playroom for Mariah Carey's twins:
I can definitely imagine Nick Carter playing in this room, too!

Neil Patrick Harris' son has a down-to-Earth nursery
that is both functional and charming.  Love the fireplace!

Ricky Martin's twin sons enjoy a sophisticated yet simple nursery:

While many celebrities don't allow photos of their homes to be taken, these pictures
of Tori Spelling's children's rooms were published on the MLS listing when their home
was for sale.

Ashlee Simpson's son, Bronx, has a love of Winnie-the-Pooh:

Jessica Alba's older daughter moved into a stylish Big Girl Room when her baby sister was born:

Tiffani Thiessen chose a lavender and white
color scheme for her daughter's nursery.

Rap/Hip Hop mogel Sean P. Diddy Combs expressed his softer
side through this heavenly mural in his twin daughters' nursery.

All parents want their child's nursery to be special and I applaud the hard work and planning that goes into designing and constructing a beautiful and functional nursery.  Unfortunately, not all efforts are successful:

I love a pirate theme but this hand painted mural goes a little 'overboard' - actually, it's downright scary.
And don't get me started about placing a beer keg in a nursery!

I like pink but this color scheme is a
   little much.

There's a place for overblown red
gingham and a nursery isn't it.

Pulling off a pink and black color scheme is challenging and
I totally appreciate the attempt at a French Connection.
This wallpaper should be hung in a country club restroom, not a nursery.

I'm on the fence about the Candy Land wall painting.  Yes,
it's ingenious and colorful.  While bigger-than-life murals
can be a little overwhelming, they're definitely bright.

Phillip is one fortunate little buckaroo to have this darling nursery in which to
bunk down.  And how cute is that cactus growth chart?!

Here are the last unique, charming and DIY-able nurseries:
Lots of taping to prep Ava's wall paint treatment but it was totally worth the time.

LOVE the floor lamps and ceiling light fixtures in Miranda's and Lauren's nursery.

Simple and elegant.

Jaxon's nursery is a beautiful blue and his parents made the art work.

Thank you for taking the time this week to scan through the many adorable and affordable nurseries
that have been featured.  I'll close with one of my favorite quotes:

All children are artists.  The problem is how to remain an artist once they grow up
                                                                               ~ Pablo Picasso
