Before and After Thursday

Today's Before and After Appreciation Society meeting is called to order:

An ordinary Goodwill dresser is converted
into a darling nursery changing table:

Most of us would probably have walked right past this desk
and written it off as too damaged to save:

BIG   REFINISHING   SECRET:
veneer can simply be removed to
reveal beautiful wood underneath.

BEFORE: so-so candle holders

AFTER: schexxy candle holders!

Before - a forlorn gable window seat with a funky little shelf
After - comfy reading corner and charming shelf display

How great would this chest be as a TV stand?

The Suspension of Disbelief -
I had a very hard time believing this was the same dining room.

AFTER:

From ordinary to elegant - the small dining room
was transformed from Country Comfortable to
Thoroughly Chic.  LOVE the black ceiling!

A pair of Chippendale chairs were given a second
life via paint treatment and toile fabric.

Not everyone is into MidCentury Modern
but it definitely has potential:

Now the credenza will provide great storage
in a nursery, teen's room or in a dorm:

Sorry today's posting is so short - the fish are jumping
out of the lake and I have to go catch dinner.
Meeting adjourned!

  1. Oh my gosh....that dining room is crazy! The ceiling look 3 feet higher. Hard to believe it's the same room. Hopefully, the adjoining living room got the same treatment!
